Deputy arrested after road rage incident involving burrito

A deputy with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Florida was arrested after a road rage incident that started at a Taco Bell.

Thomas Thompson, 45, was arrested after a couple said he pointed a gun at them, WPXI reported. An arrest report said the couple was driving away from a Taco Bell when a man drove beside them in a car making “what appeared to be audible, fake sounding police sirens.”

They said Thompson pointed a gun at them, said they ran stop signs and that he was a cop. The man, Charles Newcomb, said he threw a burrito at Thompson’s car and pulled over.

Police found the gun described by the couple and arrested and charged Thompson with aggravated assault with a firearm.
