This busy, unassuming family restaurant is popular for its traditional dishes but especially for its special $3.75 dishes (there are 12 of them) such as sweet and sour chicken, Kung Pao chicken, beef chow mein, pepper steak, pork chow mein and beef broccoli, all served with fried rice. Chef specialty entrees are ginger chicken, beef in garlic sauce, sesame chicken and chicken or beef in black bean sauce. Other entrees are almond chicken, Mongolian beef, lemon chicken, curry shrimp, shrimp or beef chop suey, house special chow mein, moo goo gai pan, Mongolian beef, shrimp broccoli and cashew chicken. There are assorted egg foo yong dishes and Japanese entrees, including teriyaki bowls (chicken, beef) and vegetable or shrimp bowls. Among the large fried rice platters are pork, chicken, vegetable, shrimp and egg. Featured appetizers are fried shrimp, egg foll and soups, including egg flower, chicken noodle, hot and sour, and wonton. Chef specialty entrees start at $5.95. M.B. China is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.
