Dining Pick of the Week: Aces and Ales

Aces & Ales

2801 N. Tenaya Way at Cheyenne Avenue; 702-638-2337

Here is one of the best places to enjoy football, as there are more than 35 televisions along with a menu of some 80 beers featuring pilsners, stouts, reds, IPAs and seasonal and specialty beers. Just as enjoyable is the menu beginning with such appetizers as Firecracker Buffalo wings, Cajun bacon and bleu cheese fries, grilled artichoke with garlic aioli, Wisconsin fried cheese curds and Bavarian pretzels with A&A beer cheese. Breakfast includes Cap ‘n Crunch French toast, veggie scramble, huevos rancheros, three-egg omelets and Slayer Scramble with applewood-smoked bacon, diced ham, sausage, grilled onions, tomatoes and jack and cheddar cheese. Pizzas are made with homemade dough and sauce, large salads (Caesar, spinach, vedge) can be served with chicken, shrimp, salmon or ahi tuna, and prime ground beef hamburgers are served on kaiser rolls. Other sandwiches are chicken cheesesteak, prime rib French dip, pastrami and Swiss on rye, steak wrap, the Lucy (hamburger stuffed with American cheese, applewood bacon, chorizo and bacon) and the house specialty grilled cheese on artisan sourdough. There are fish tacos, chicken and waffles, chili, mac and cheese dishes (jalapeno, shrimp, Mediterranean) and several desserts, including deep-fried Oreos. Sandwiches start at $8, and breakfast begins at $7. Aces & Ales is open 24/7.
