Dining Pick of the Week: BoBo China

It's not surprising that a small neighborhood restaurant has become a favorite among those who appreciate flavorful and just a bit spicy Chinese food. There are combination plates served throughout the day with soup and choice of egg roll, crab Rangoon or fried shrimp and steamed rice or fried rice. Several plates include Kung Pao chicken, orange chicken, pepper steak, sweet and sour chicken, shrimp broccoli, Mongolian pork, lo mein (chicken, beef, pork), shrimp vegetables and cashew chicken. Other individual entrees are mapo tofu, walnut shrimp, salt and pepper pork chop, Szechwan beef, snow peas and water chestnuts, moo goo gai pan, family--style bean curd, Kung Pao cabbage, Peking pork chop and Volcano shrimp. Popular large bowls of soups are egg flower, vegetable and tofu, hot and sour, war wonton, sizzling rice and lo mein or noodle with chicken, beef, pork, vegetable or shrimp. There is egg foo yong, pad Thai, chow mein, teriyaki and appetizers such as sliced barbecue pork, fried shrimp, chicken wings and pot stickers. Lunch specials start at $4.95 and are served daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Combination plates begin at $6.99 and soups at $4.95. BoBo China is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is closed Sunday. - Jack Bulavsky
