Bonanza Lounge
4301 E. Bonanza Road at North Lamb Boulevard; 702-452-7955
A neighborhood restaurant with no surprises could be called perfect. Well, nothing (almost nothing) is perfect, but the Bonanza Lounge comes close with simple, good food. Breakfast favorites include three-egg omelets with hash browns and toast, New York steak and eggs, biscuist and gravy, diced ham and cheddar scramble, French toast, pancakes and country fried steak and eggs. Among the entrees are pot roast, fish and chips, chopped sirloin steak, barbecue baby back ribs, fried fantail shrimp and Healthy Choice chicken with cottage cheese, tomato slices and fresh vegetables. Featured sandwiches are half-pound hamburgers on kaiser rolls, French dip, Philly cheesesteak, Reuben and club with smoked ham, turkey, bacon, Swiss and American cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. There is always a soup of the day, chili and salads such as Cobb, chef, Caesar (add chicken or steak) and Southwest chicken. The dessert menu has peach cobbler, caramel ginger apple crisp and Big Blitz with Snickers Bar Pie where chunks of Snickers bar are combined with fudgy brownies, caramel, peanuts and a tart cream cheese filling. Sandwiches start at $6.99. Bonanza Lounge is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
