702-645-6411

The mission statement for Five Star Tavern is "delight customers and guests to the extent that they become our best form of advertising." It's working, and the word is out. The word is also out on the menu, with appetizers such as jumbo shrimp cocktail, mini chicken Parmesan sliders and nachos piled high with cheese, refried beans, onions, black olives, tomatoes, jalapenos, sour cream and salsa. Among the sandwiches are meatball sub on toasted hoagie, hamburgers, New York steak, BLT and fried steak served with lettuce, tomato and diced onions on a grilled bun. Featured entrees are fish and chips, spaghetti and meatballs, cheese tortellini, New York steak topped with melted bleu cheese crumbles, mushrooms and onions, and chicken fried steak. Popular soups are potato cheese and chicken noodle, and salads include Cobb, tostada and chef. Breakfast is served throughout the day and features steak and eggs, bottomless pancakes with bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito and the Five Star Jackpot Skillet with eggs, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, sausage, bacon, mushrooms and shredded cheese. Breakfast begins at $4.99 and entrees at $6.99. Five Star Tavern is open from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. - Jack Bulavsky
