There is nothing better than an American cafe that is family owned and serving familiar homemade dishes. Breakfast begins with omelets (Denver, Harvest veggie, bacon avocado, chili), buttermilk pancakes, eggs Benedict, French toast, huevos rancheros, corned beef hash and eggs, biscuits and gravy, country fried steak and eggs, and three thick slices of Canadian bacon with eggs and home fries or hash browns. Salads (grilled salmon, balsamic grilled chicken, tuna, chef) come with garlic bread and choice of homemade ranch, thousand island, honey mustard, Italian or blue cheese dressing. Dinner entrees include New York steak, Icelandic cod and chips, chicken Marsala, shrimp marinara, country fried chicken, teriyaki chicken and spaghetti and meatballs. Featured sandwiches are grilled chicken Caesar wrap, meatball on Italian bread, French dip on ciabatta, 8-ounce Angus hamburgers, veggie burger, BLT, grilled ham and cheese (Swiss or American), tuna or turkey melt on sourdough, traditional toasted ham and turkey club, Italian sausage and Philly beef with grilled green peppers, onions and mozzarella. Popular desserts are homemade strawberry shortcake, apple cobbler, cheesecake and brownie sundae. Breakfast begins at $3.99 and entrees at $9.99.
