PICK OF THE WEEK:
JAMMS
1029 S. Rainbow Blvd. at West Charleston Boulevard, 877-0749
Jamms has been serving breakfast and lunch for 19 years, and the restaurant is as good as ever, if not better. Among the fluffy omelets, served with a pot of bread, are Provencal (diced tomatoes, spinach, provolone), Texas with chili and cheddar, veggie, Reuben, White Castle, Heather (sun-dried tomatoes, cream cheese, green onions) and Jamms Signature with sliced steak, onions, mushrooms, cheese and béarnaise sauce. Among the breakfast sandwiches are Denver potato pancake and the TEC, turkey, eggs and cheddar on Texas toast. You will find eggs Benedict, corned beef hash and eggs, waffle Benedict, S'mores pancakes, eggs Florentine, stuffed French toast, country skillet, biscuits and gravy, and granola parfait. Sandwiches include Andy's chicken melt, egg salad club, hamburgers, salmon burger, Cuban panini and the N.J. sloppy Joe, where three layers of rye are filled with roast beef, turkey, corned beef, coleslaw and thousand island dressing. Popular salads include Chinese chicken, hot bacon and spinach, and the Garbage with mixed greens, tomato, carrots, cucumbers, onions, green peppers, bacon, ham, diced chicken and cheddar. And, if you like a robust cup of coffee, ask for the French press. Omelets begin at $9.45 and sandwiches at $8.25. Jamms is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Jack Bulavsky
