Dining Pick of the Week: Lino’s Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant

Lino’s Pizzeria & Italian Cuisine

5601 N. Tenaya Way, No. 105, at Ann Road, 702-396-4849

Little Italy comes alive at this restaurant where family is as important as the good food that is served. The signature hand-tossed pizzas (small, medium, large, extra large) are made with all the popular toppings, including sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, salami, anchovies, mushrooms, olives, onions and sliced tomato. Popular pasta dishes are spaghetti with meat or marinara sauce, ravioli, lasagna, eggplant parmigiano, fettucini carbonara (Canadian bacon, garlic, olive oil, cream, egg, Parmesan) and gnocchi, that tasty potato dumpling in meat or marinara sauce. Other entrees are mushroom chicken, shrimp Alfredo, angel hair chicken pesto, shrimp scampi, linguine with clam sauce or Cajun shrimp and chicken scaloppini. There are appetizers (fried mozzarella, calamari, garlic knots), salads, calzones (pocket pizza stuffed with ricotta and mozzarella) and hot and cold subs such as salami, Italian beef, Mortadella, capicola, meatball, turkey, pastrami and sausage. Featured desserts are New York cheesecake, cannoli, Italian cream, spumoni and carrot cake. Pizzas begin at $10.50, and subs start at $4.95. Lino’s is open from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
