PICK OF THE WEEK:
MO'S PIZZERIA
6101 W. Vegas Drive, 647-2956
All of us have a story about finding a great little place in an unusual location. Add Mo's Pizzeria to that list. Mo's is inside a Shell gas station but don't let that deter you. There are 10 tables, and the owner's friendly personality makes for a pleasant meal. Pizzas come in four sizes, including a 10-inch pie for $3.99. All the regular toppings are available, along with shrimp, spinach, chicken and anchovies. But Mo is cooking up more than pizza; among his footlong subs, served with fries, are Philly steak, turkey, meatball, Italian, pastrami and roast beef with cheese. Other sandwiches include half-pound hamburger, gyro and fish. Mo also has chicken or beef burritos, salads (chef, Caesar, Greek, antipasto), buckets of chicken wings and fingers, and pasta entrees, including chicken Parmesan with pasta and garlic bread, lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs. Desserts include cheesecake, tiramisu and baklava. Popular appetizers are onion rings, chili fries, shrimp basket with fries, garlic bread sticks and fried mushrooms. And let's not forget breakfast, with omelets, French toast, breakfast burrito, pancakes and biscuits with gravy and country fried steak. Mo's is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
