Dining Pick of the Week: Rosati’s Pizza

ROSATI’S PIZZA

Some pizzas just taste better than others, and Rosati’s pizza tastes great. This is authentic Chicago pizza. Choose the style and size, such as Crispy Thin, Double Dough, Chicago Deep Dish, Super Stuffed or Rosati’s Pan (thick crust) in a 12-, 14-, 16- or 18-inch pie. Favorites are the Fabulous Four (sausage, green pepper, onion, mushroom), Veggie, Pepperoni Classic and Monster with sausage, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, ground beef, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, tomatoes and green and black olives. Several gourmet selections are chicken Alfredo, spinach with feta cheese, barbecue chicken, Nini’s Neapolitan (no sauce), Greek and Valentino with Italian beef, sausage, onion, tomatoes and hot giardiniera. Popular sandwiches include Italian beef, Italian sausage with sweet peppers and meatball parmigiana. Pasta dinners include baked mostaccioli, homemade lasagna, cheese ravioli, spicy rigatoni and sausage and chicken fettuccini Alfredo. There are half-pound hamburgers, calzones, baby back ribs and salads including Rosati’s with mixed greens, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, green and black olives, mushrooms, cucumbers, tomatoes, green peppers and cheese. Among the appetizers are breaded mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, garlic bread with cheese and garlic knots. Two desserts are cannoli and tiramisu. Pizzas begin at $4.95 and pasta dishes at $7.75. Rosati’s is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. — Jack Bulavsky
