PICK OF THE WEEK:
WILLY AND JOSE'S CANTINA
Sam's Town, 5111 Boulder Highway, 456-7777
One of our favorite restaurants is in a new location. Willy and Jose's Cantina has moved into Sam's Town's Mystic Falls Park, and now you can enjoy your favorite margarita or burrito while also enjoying the outdoor entertainment. Among the appetizers are cheese crisps, taquitos, super nachos or Willy's sampler plate with a little of everything. Featured entrees are seafood enchilada, orange roughy à la Mexicana, steak ranchero, steak picado, camarones westenos (shrimp wrapped in bacon with ranchero sauce and cheese) and steak Filipelli, a broiled New York steak topped with jalapenos and white cheese. Other entrees include red or green burrito, fajitas, chicken chimichanga, shredded beef and refried bean burrito and pollo al mojo de ajo, two chicken breasts in garlic sauce, white wine and orange juice. Several desserts are Wild Willy's Chocolate Tacos and Jose's Sopapilla, the Mexican-style donut with chocolate and caramel sauces. Add a specialty coffee such as Café Jose (Kahlua and amaretto) or Spanish (Kahlua and brandy). Appetizers begin at $5.99 and entrees at $9. Willy and Jose's is open from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. -- Jack Bulavsky
