Dollar General employees humiliated toddler after accident, woman says

A Holt, Mo., woman says her young daughter was humiliated at a Dollar General recently after having an accident in the store.

Samantha Sargent said after her daughter’s accident, she opened a new pack of underwear, cleaned up her daughter and went to the checkout to pay for the open package, at which point the cashier told her that her daughter wasn’t dressed properly for a public place.

Sargent told Fox 4 she told the manager about the incident, but the manager didn’t apologize, instead opting to post on Facebook asking if anyone thinks it’s OK to let a young girl walk around a public place in underwear and a t-shirt.

Dollar General’s corporate office has issued an apology and said it will provide further training for employees.
