Dunhill’s Rhodes Ranch provides summer activities

Whether your idea of a fun summer is indoors or outdoors, exercising or relaxing with friends, Dunhill Homes' Rhodes Ranch has dozens of options for residents of all ages.

"The Fun Zone Water Park is one of our most popular amenities and open through the summer," said Brooke Willoby, director of recreation for the Rhodes Ranch Recreation Center.

Available to Rhodes Ranch residents, the Fun Zone includes a 13,000-square-foot resort pool with wading areas, a 10,000-square-foot water park with three speed slides, five kid slides, rope bridges, multiple squirt gun stations and an oversized bucket that fills and tips over every five minutes.

"It's the perfect place to spend the summer with family and friends," Willoby said. "And if you enjoy outdoor activities, our 25-meter lap pool, two eight-person spas, a 12-person spa, four large covered cabanas, one exterior lighted basketball court, two sand volleyball courts, four lighted tennis courts and a children's playground with activity structures will give you lots of options."

The recreation center plans events, club activities and fitness options for residents throughout the year. Swim lessons, a "Go Van Gogh" creativity summer camp, music lessons and tennis lessons for both children and adults are currently being offered.

Fitness options at Rhodes Ranch include an indoor workout facility with weights and cardiovascular equipment, a full-length indoor basketball court and two racquetball/handball courts.

"We are also offering country line dancing, yoga and Zumba classes in the group fitness room," Willoby said. "For those that want a tailored fitness program, our personal trainers are amazing at designing a plan that is perfectly suited to you."

Outside the recreation center, Dunhill Homes offers more than a dozen new-home options, a guard-gated entrance, a championship golf course and miles of walking trails.

"This year, we opened 12 brand-new floor plans at Rhodes Ranch with nine fully decorated model homes," said Ryan Soucie, director of sales for Dunhill Homes. "The single- and two-story homes are available in sizes ranging from 1,532 to 3,649 square feet with prices starting at just $184,990."

Every home at Rhodes Ranch includes gourmet cooking islands, granite countertops, beech-wood cabinetry, Whirlpool appliances and Moen chrome faucets.

All homes at Rhodes Ranch are certified by both Energy Star and NV Energy's Energy Plus program.

The certifications require energy efficient insulation, radiant-barrier roof sheathing, water-saving plumbing fixtures, energy-efficient gas water heaters and furnaces, digital programmable thermostats and dual- pane low-e argon gas vinyl windows.

Once the home is completed, it is tested, rated and certified by a third-party for its HERS (Home Efficiency Rating System) score to ensure that the upgrades meet the certification criteria.
