ENTERTAINMENT: ‘Ooh La La’ faces final peekaboo

The topless cabaret revue “Ooh La La” will have its final show on Aug. 31 at Paris Las Vegas. The girlie show is the creation of hypnotist Anthony Cools, who ran it in tandem with his own act in the small theater space he operates within the casino.
“Ooh La La” launched in September with a 7 p.m. start time for most performances. Cools figured that if other topless revues were late shows, he would position this one as a starting point for bachelor party nights on the Strip.
At least it sounded like a good idea. On Aug. 1, Cools joined the late-show pack, moving the revue to an 11 p.m. start and cutting the performance schedule in half, to six shows per week.
"I need to move it to another venue," Cools says of the restrictive stage he carved out of the casino's tour group lobby. "I need to make it bigger and add more production to it. More ooh la la."
Even as a small revue, “Ooh La La” has more wit and style than some of its competitors. So if this is your kind of thing, mark your calendar.
