Family keeps buying from Planet Hyundai

The Pelino family said they love their Hyundais; they have purchased five in the past several years.

Grace Pelino is the owner of their latest purchase: a 2013 Veloster from Planet Hyundai Sahara, 7150 W. Sahara Ave.

“The first time I ever drove a Hyundai was in Buffalo,” said Pelino, who along with her husband, Ron, are natives of the Northeast. “I rented a Santa Fe to drive upstate. I didn’t specify what I wanted, but that’s what the rental company gave me and I loved it. I just decided at that point that I had to have a Hyundai Sante Fe.”

Since then the Pelinos have remained loyal to Hyundai.

In 2012, the couple purchased two vehicles from Planet Hyundai within a week.

She said the Veloster is a fun automobile with great high gas mileage, and is sporty and peppy with its 1.6 liter, four-cylinder engine.

“I am having a ball driving the Veloster,” she said. “It doesn’t take any room and it’s fun to drive. I’m loving it, and I actually feel like I’m back in high school again. It’s like my old Chevrolet Corvair that I had in high school in the 1960s, only the Veloster has a lot more power. It also has all the modern conveniences.”

Ron Pelino drives a 2012 Hyundai Sonata hybrid.

“He also loves his car, too. My daughter is still driving my original 2004 Santa Fe back in Connecticut, and it has 124,450 miles on it. There has never been anything wrong with it, and the only time it has been in the shop has been for standard maintenance.”

Grace Pelino also praised the couple’s sales consultants, the latest of whom was Daniel Farnes.

“We have worked with two salesmen here, and neither of them were pushy,” she said. “They worked hard for us and didn’t pressure us at all. Daniel was very patient while I looked at the different cars and features. I test drove three different Velosters before I made up my mind, and Daniel was so gracious with me .”
