Fiery Ferrari tree crash leaves 2 injured in Calabasas

Calabasas, CA — Two men were recovering Saturday from injuries sustained during a fiery crash after their Ferrari struck two trees in Calabasas, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Edmond Evan Aslin, 44, was driving the 2002 black Ferrari westbound on Mureau Road, east of Los Virgenes Road Friday around 10 p.m., when the car veered to the left, according to a CHP news release.

The car then entered a grass median, struck two trees, and continued into the eastbound lanes before coming to a rest.

During the incident, the Ferrari became engulfed in flames, leaving it almost completely unrecognizable.

Aslin suffered major injures and passenger Jose Sierra, 22, sustained minor injuries. They were both being treated at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center.
