Final neighborhood selling in The Paseos

The southern half of The Paseos Village in the master-planned community of Summerlin is nearing completion with more than 1,200 homes sold, miles of completed trails and dozens of open parks. The village's final neighborhood under development is Coronado, a condominium project by Westmark Homes.

Located near the southern entry of the village off Desert Sunrise Road, Coronado is a 174-unit project that features seven floor plans ranging from 1,305 to 1,803 square feet and priced from the upper $200,000s. The neighborhood offers a swimming pool and fitness center for the use of residents.

"Summerlin is a highly programmed, multicultural, multigenerational community," said Tom Warden, vice president of community and government relations for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin. "The parks, the trails, golf courses, schools, houses of worship, shopping centers and business parks combine to create one of the most exceptional lifestyles in Southern Nevada. It's no wonder nearly 100,000 valley residents have chosen to live here."

Located west of Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, at Charleston Boulevard, The Paseos is located adjacent to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The canyon features dozens of hiking and cycling trails, as well as rock-climbing opportunities that are considered world-class and attract climbers year-round.

For the less adventurous, The Paseos features miles of trails for walking, running or cycling, as well as a community park with baseball/tee-ball fields, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, interactive water feature and open play areas. "The Paseos Park provides families with lots of sporting venues close to home," Warden said.

The Paseos features Hacienda- and Mission-style architecture reflected in home styles that include simple architectural lines, clay barrel roof tiles, earth-tone stucco and a variety of outdoor living areas, including courtyards, patios, decks, loggias and balconies.

Summerlin began to take shape in 1990 and is a 22,500-acre, master-planned community located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley. The Howard Hughes Corp. is an affiliate of General Growth Properties Inc.

The community is home to more than 95,000 residents. With about 7,500 acres still to develop, including its urban core, Summerlin Centre, Summerlin continues to unfold.

Summerlin is home to more than 100 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 completed miles of the Summerlin trail system, nine golf courses, a dozen houses of worship, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks, 22 public and private schools and more than 100 actively selling floor plans.
