Findlay Cadillac welcomes executive

As a 27-year veteran of the car business, Tim Gleason has been around luxury vehicles for his entire career.
Now the general sales manager for Findlay Cadillac in the Valley Automall, the native of upstate New York is definitely in touch with the buyers of high-end cars.
"Cadillac is also a high-line car," said Gleason, who entered the car business as soon as he got to town. "The company has done an incredible job during the past five years after focusing so much of its efforts on the older buyer."
When General Motors changed its focus, it didn't take long before the scope widened to include all age brackets.
"At this point, Cadillac appeals to all ages ranging from the 20s all the way to the 60s, 70s and 80s. In the automotive world, Cadillac's rise has been unmatched. From sports cars to SUVs and the CTS sedan, Cadillac has its bases covered now and for years to come."
Some of Gleason's best friends drive Cadillacs.
"My best friend owns a Cadillac Escalade and he says it's the best car he has ever had," Gleason said. "It now has 160,000 miles on it and runs like a charm. He drives it from here to St. George weekly."
Gleason joined the Findlay Automotive Group dealership primarily because he liked the idea of a family-run operation.
"I was actually working on my cottage in upstate New York and (Findlay Cadillac General Manager) John Saksa called me to see if I wanted to go back into the car business," Gleason said. "I stayed there for about five weeks to complete the work on my place and then headed back to Vegas.
"There is just so much to be said for a dealership run by a family with deep roots in this community. Many people will purchase from a Findlay store simply because the family has been in Las Vegas for more than 50 years. This is a beautiful store and I'm happy to be here."
Saksa praised his newest employee.
"We are very honored to have Tim on our team," he said. "He brings many years of experience and knowledge and a great understanding of the high-line customer."
Findlay Cadillac is part of the Findlay Automobile Group founded by the late Pete Findlay, whose son, Cliff Findlay, now spearheads new and preowned vehicle dealerships in Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Idaho.
