Firefighters save cat in Henderson house fire

One cat was rescued in a Thursday morning Henderson house fire, which caused an estimated $100,000 damage.

Neighbors called 911 about 9 a.m. after seeing smoke coming from a house on Brahma Lane, near College Drive and U.S. Highway 95.

Henderson firefighters responded to the two-story house and quickly controlled the blaze, officials said.

Firefighters found the cat in the initial search of the house.

No people were home at the time of the accidental fire, and no injuries were reported.

Fire investigators estimated the damage from the fire at $100,000.
