First new word in the Scrabble dictionary in nearly a decade

As of Thursday, your friends can no longer challenge your use of the word ‘geocache’ in a Scrabble game as it is now officially part of the game’s dictionary.
And it made history.
According to ABC News, it was the first time the Official Scrabble Player’s Dictionary has added a word that was fan-voted and it was the first update to the player’s dictionary in nearly a decade.
Geocache beat out 15 other words that had been nominated.
