Former tackle Murphy signs as a free-agent with Atlanta Falcons

Former UNLV offensive tackle Matt Murphy signed an undrafted free-agent contract with the Atlanta Falcons.

His agent, Steve Caric, said Murphy received about 15 offers.

"He was one of the hottest priority free agents in the country," Caric said. "Across the board, everybody who calls about Matt loves his versatility."

Caric said the Falcons are especially attractive because they have free agents at right tackle and both guards.

"Even if they keep one, he has an excellent opportunity," Caric said.
