FRENCH ICON LINE RENAUD HONORED

About 70 Las Vegans gathered Wednesday at Piero's Italian Cuisine for a tribute to entertainer Line Renaud, one of the most honored women in French history. Singer, actress and humanitarian, Renaud, 81, was among the first wave of French revues that helped put Las Vegas on the map. She was the featured singer in Casino de Paris, which headlined at the Dunes during the 1960s. The party included many old Vegas families and friends. (Norm Clarke photo)
