Friendly Ford adopts Animal Foundation, hosts pet adoption

Friendly Ford and The Animal Foundation presented Paws for the Cause, a fall pet adoption event Oct. 15 at the auto dealership on Decatur Boulevard.

Officials from both organization hailed the event as a great success.

"Friendly Ford is adopting the Animal Foundation. They are part of the family here," said Jason Davis, general manager of Friendly Ford. "As a partnership we helped many many dogs and cats get adopted. We also did nearly 90 free microchips ... it's like LoJack for dogs and cats so we can always find them, even when they are lost."

"The volunteers had so much fun and did a great job," said Diana Lammerts, adoption manager for The Animal Foundation. "The patrons were very happy with the counseling. A lot of them listened to our advice and want to bring their dogs when they stop by. All in all it was another great event at Friendly Ford. So well organized, everybody was helping set the crates up. I am excited about and looking forward to the next one."

Friendly Ford is located at 660 N. Decatur Blvd., just north of U.S. Highway 95, the same location it has been in since it was founded 41 years ago.
