Give $500,000 … get quarterly meetings with the president

Periodically, I just want to grab by the collar my liberal friends who still support Barack Obama and say: "Are you worried yet?"

For example, consider the news over the weekend reported by the New York Times that if you donate $500,000 to the group Organizing for Action, you will get a quarterly advisory meeting with the president.

A normal person might think that looks like the old "pay to play" tactic of corrupt politicians for which Barack Obama told us he would never, ever participate.

So the president's spokesman Jay Carney was asked about it. Eventually when there is no other conclusion than yes, this is, in word and deed, a pay-for-play gambit, Carney skitters off into the darkness of mindless denial. (See the video below.)

So, are you worried yet?
