GLVAR elects board members, officers
The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors recently elected board members and officers to lead Southern Nevada's largest professional trade organization starting in 2013.
The new officers of the 2013 board: President David Tina, Urban Nest Realty; President-elect Heidi Kasama, Prudential Americana Group; Vice President Noah Herrera, Platinum R.E. Professionals; and Treasurer Robyn Yates, Windermere Prestige Properties. All will take office on Jan. 1.
Board directors are Christopher Bishop, Keller Williams Realty Las Vegas; Janet Carpenter, Realty One Group Inc; Vandana Chima, Exit Realty Platinum Group; and Krystal Sherry, Hudson Real Estate.
Local Realtors not up for re-election who will continue serving their two-year terms as directors include Tina Africk, iProperties International; Keith Lynam, Windermere Prestige Properties; Jaime Velez, Keller Williams Southern Nevada; Neil Schwartz, Coldwell Banker Premiere; and Cheryl Smith, United Realty.
Leroy "Buck" Schaeffel, Bowler Realty, will continue serving as GLVAR's director for Mesquite and other outlying areas of Clark County.
Current GLVAR President Kolleen Kelley's one-year term heading the association ends Dec. 31.
