Harmony’s Mesa Verde homes built with solar power system

Harmony Homes, a locally owned homebuilder, is making the most of the valley’s 300 average annual days of sunshine by making solar panels standard on all homes in its Mesa Verde community.

Mesa Verde, in the southwestern valley, lets homebuyers save money with solar power while helping the environment.

“Every home we build at Mesa Verde will come with a solar power system from SolarCity,” Harmony Homes President Robert Beville said. “The solar offering sets Mesa Verde apart from other communities and adds value and interest to what is already a compelling community.”

Beville said Mesa Verde’s homes are designed with four two-story floor plans ranging from 2,055 to 2,386 square feet. Floor plans will offer two to four bedrooms and options including covered patios and decks. The exteriors feature paved driveways and patios with desert landscaping and drip irrigation.

Beville said the homes also come with a touch of luxury. Kitchens have granite kitchen countertops, Energy Star certified General Electric appliances and dual-compartment under-mount stainless-steel sinks. Bathrooms feature Piedrafina countertops with drop-in sinks and Delta chrome faucets. The homes have 9-foot ceilings, hand-textured interior walls and Mohawk carpeting.

Buyers also will enjoy a multitude of energy-saving and safety features. Mesa Verde homes feature programmable thermostats, tankless water heaters, water-saving plumbing fixtures and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. For security, the homes have Kwikset locks with smartkey technology.

Buyers will notice further savings from vinyl windows with high-performance low-e glass, sealed heating and cooling ducts and insulated garage doors.

Pricing starts in the low $200,000s.

Mesa Verde is near Decatur Boulevard and Mesa Verde Lane, south of the 215 Beltway and north of Blue Diamond Road. The community is close to schools, shopping and entertainment. Nearby attractions include the Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park, Rhodes Ranch Golf Club, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and Spring Mountain Ranch State Park.
