Harry Reid’s losing it

As regular readers know, unlike a lot of national and Nevada pundits, I cut Sen. Harry Reid zero slack.

I don't think he's been a good senator for Nevada. I'm not even sure he likes Nevada anymore.

But even I -- his biggest critic in Nevada -- stare in amazement at Reid's latest behavior and wonder whether he losing it.

We're all familiar with his mythical "source" who told him that Mitt Romney paid no federal income tax in the last 10 years.

Now that Romney has proven that to be a lie, Reid doubles down on his accusation, saying that Romney is juggling the numbers.

Based on what? Nobody knows with Senator Reid. It's just an accusation pulled apparently out of thin air.

But now comes Reid saying that Romney (a fellow Mormon) has "sullied" the church. Good luck in trying to understand exactly what Reid means by this. It sounds like Reid means that because Romney has traditional Republican ideas, this somehow sullies the faith.

News flash, Mr. Reid. Most Mormons are Republicans.

You'd think that if anyone sullied the Mormon faith it was Reid who said Obama made a good presidential candidate because he was a "light skinned" black person who could talk "negro" when he wanted to.

But maybe that's just me. Like I said, I don't cut Reid any slack these days because I don't think he deserves any. His behavior has increasingly been less than honorable.
