Health care conundrum — dialysis for illegals
May I recommend this story for your personal edification. It details how the Las Vegas county hospital provides some $2 million a month in free dialysis care ... to undocumented aliens.
For all the talk about health care "reform" we never hear much about this ... at least not in specifics.
The county hospital receives no reimbursement for the care, but is mandated under federal law to provide it. You can bet that what goes on in Las Vegas in this regard gets repeated in every community in the nation.
Wouldn't it be nice if once -- just once -- during one of President Obama's town hall meetings on health care "reform," he dropped the carefully staged Q&A and talked honestly and off the cuff about how we fix this problem.
