Heck on new Nevada jobless numbers: “Don’t fall into blame trap”

Rep. Joe Heck, R-Nev., reacting to the report that Nevada's unemployment rate climbed to 14.5 percent in December, said this in a statement:

“Today’s unemployment numbers underscore the need to create stability and foster an environment for economic growth here in our state. Nevada’s third congressional district elected me to help create the stability and environment we need, and that’s what I intend to work towards. We face a difficult task ahead, but together we will achieve our goal: a strong and vibrant economy.

"There is temptation to blame one party or another; one person or another; but we cannot fall into that trap. The quickest way to a strong and vibrant economy is together.”
