Heller on August jobless numbers: ‘Congress still talking about massive tax increases and reckless spending’

Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., reacting to Nevada reaching another record of 14.4 percent unemployment in August, said this in a statement today:
“This recession has hit Nevada especially hard. Many Nevadans continue to struggle to pay their bills and keep their homes. It has been over a year and a half since the stimulus bill has passed, and Congress is still talking about massive tax increases and more reckless spending. Businesses need stability to thrive and create jobs. Until the majority party and this Administration choose to focus on real solutions to our economic troubles, our economy will continue to struggle. Big government programs are not a substitute for private sector jobs.”
