AUTHOR plans talk ABOUT TRAVELING

Max Grinnell, an author and urbanologist, is scheduled to host a seminar on making traveling meaningful from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway. HEALTH HOUR DISCUSSES STROKES

Henderson Libraries is set to present another Health Hour series topic from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway. SUPPORT GROUP HELPS WITH OVEREATING

Fat Head, Fat Body is offering a weekly support group from 6:30 to
7:30 p.m. Thursdays at Club Sport Green Valley, 2100 Olympic Ave. The group is headed by Diana Gibbs, a former UCLA academic counselor and psychology author. People can discuss the reason behind overeating and how to take control. Meetings cost $5. For more information, visit fatheadfatbody.com.

U.S. Sen. Dean Heller is scheduled to speak at the Southern Hills Republican Women's luncheon on Aug. 23 at Buckman's, 2600 Hampton Road. Animal Foundation offers
low-cost sterilization

Pet owners who make and keep an appointment to have their dog or cat spayed or neutered at the Animal Foundation's Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic, 655 N.
