How much do you know about the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’?— QUIZ
Oh, say, do you know — that Tuesday is National Anthem Day?
Probably not.
Flag Day, June 14, commemorates the day the Continental Congress adopted the flag we know as the Stars and Stripes.
But National Anthem Day — March 3 — seems to have more in common with such under-the-radar commemorations as National Turkey Neck Soup Day (March 30) and National Bicarbonate of Soda Day (Dec. 20), at least in terms of its obscurity.
In historical terms, however, there’s plenty to celebrate about the national anthem — and the flag that inspired it.
Maybe you know that history. Maybe you don’t.
Either way, here’s a star-spangled quiz devoted to “The Star-Spangled Banner,” song and flag. It might not make you stand up and sing out — but it might help you remember why we do.
