Inspirada master plan aspires to community-feeling, city setting

Situated on nearly 2,000 acres, the seven villages that make up Inspirada, a new master-planned community in the southern foothills of the valley, is inspired by the design and feeling of traditional city neighborhoods, according to John A. Ritter, chairman and CEO of Focus Property Group, which operates as the general manager of Inspirada.

"Inspirada brings to the valley the best aspects of New Urbanist planning to create a community unlike any other in Las Vegas," Ritter said.

Each of the community's seven villages has its own theme. Solista, Inspirada's first village, is defined by music and will house its own civic center and performance space. Ceramista Village will highlight community activities with Farmer's Markets and craft fairs. Palestra will integrate athletics into the fabric of village life and will offer athletics fields and a community pool complex.

Located between Ceramista and Palestra, Balera Village celebrates dance, while the village of Esplora neighbors the petroglyphs at Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. A village community center at Pintura Village will focus on the visual arts with classes, workshops and contests. The village of Cienza will highlight the sciences with observation points for stargazing and activities at the community center.

At the heart of Inspirada is Civita, a vibrant town center planned for restaurants, cafes, retail shops and entertainment venues. Civic amenities such as schools, police and fire stations are interwoven throughout the community.

"The structure of Inspirada is strategic, from how homes are arranged to the planning and execution of cultural events at the community centers and schools," Ritter said. "The lifestyle that we are promoting will reinstate the sense of community. Residents will be encouraged to know who their neighbors are and to interact with one another."

The community and its villages will be connected by a series of bicycle paths, lit walking trails, tree-lined boulevards and natural, open spaces. Each village will be anchored by a central park.

Home builders include KB Home, Toll Brothers, Focus Property Group, Woodside Homes, Kimball Hill Homes, Pardee Homes, Meritage Homes and Beazer Homes. They will construct 13,500 residences with as many as 26,000 residents.

Exterior designs are defined by front porches and alley-loaded garages. All models offer an extensive selection of floor plans and exterior architecture.

KB Home, Meritage Homes and Toll Brothers have homes available from 1,300 to more than 4,000 square feet with prices beginning in the mid-$200,000s.

Inspirada is located at 1890 Via Firenze in Henderson. To visit from Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, East, exit Eastern Avenue and head south to St. Rose Parkway. Turn west to Executive Airport Road and head south. Follow the signs to the community entrance.
