Inspirada to open parks

Super Saturday at Inspirada, Oct. 4, starts with a grand opening ceremony for Henderson’s two newest parks — Capriola and Potenza — in the master-planned community.

The day will also include a preview of Inspirada’s Project Playhouse Pet Edition “Parade of Pet Homes,” a fundraiser to benefit HomeAid of Southern Nevada.

Inspirada Builders and City of Henderson officials will kick off a full schedule of activities in Capriola and Potenza Parks, ranging from pet adoptions with NSPCA and Henderson Animal Care and Control, soccer clinics featuring the UNLV Women’s Soccer Team, a tennis clinic for kids featuring Inspirada resident and tennis pro Michele Domanico and skateboard demonstrations with the Wray Brothers, including Hammer Hall of Fame inductee Jeremy Wray.

“Super Saturday at Inspirada will be the day to experience Inspirada and our well-planned lifestyle amenities to their fullest,” said Robert McGibney, division president, KB Home. “Come and see our exciting new parks and tour eight new home communities from KB Home, Pardee Homes and Toll Brothers and see what’s coming soon from Beazer Homes.”

Capriola and Potenza Parks were developed by Inspirada Builders LLC and largely constructed by Martin Harris Construction through the city’s developer park program. Under the program, a developer builds a neighborhood park in accordance with city guidelines and standards and then dedicates the completed park to the city for public use. The parks will be maintained by the city.

“We have a goal in Henderson to provide a park within a half mile of every residence, said Henderson Mayor Andy Hafen.

“We are now closer to that goal for this community, thanks to the public/private partnership with the developer. These two new parks bring a variety of recreational opportunities to nearby residents and we appreciate Inspirada’s investment in our community.”

Capriola Park is about 12 acres and features lighted multiuse fields, lighted tennis and basketball courts, picnic ramada, playground, dog park, splash pad, shade structures, open turf and restrooms.

Potenza Park is about 5 acres and includes lighted basketball courts, picnic ramadas, playground, shade structures, a skate area, open turf and restrooms.

Toll Brothers will showcase new model homes under construction in its Bellante and Villamar Collections while at KB Home, nine model homes are featured in their Greencourts, Reserves and Terraces collections. Pardee Homes has five new model homes in their Alterra and Solano neighborhoods and Beazer Homes will have an information tent in the heart of Capriola Park.

“Guests to Inspirada today will be able to tour a diverse collection of new homes that range in price from the low $200,000s to the $500,000s, including single-story plans, multigenerational homes and homes with large backyards,” McGibney said. “And we will be able to see progress on Aventura Park, opening next spring.”

According to McGibney, guests will also want to experience the view of the entire 1,500 Inspirada master-planned community from the Inspirada Overlook.

Located off Bicentennial Parkway, the Overlook offers a panoramic experience that is enhanced with the free Inspirada App available on your smartphone or tablet’s App Store. The Inspirada App uses geo-positioning, internal compass, augmented reality, 3D parallax, dynamic image rendering and a variety of animation to bring Inspirada’s future to life today, including parks and neighborhoods now under development.

Inspirada is home to more than 2,500 residents. For more information, visit www.inspirada.com or follow the community on Facebook at www.facebook.com/InspiradaNV.
