KB to host open house Sunday
January 21, 2012 - 2:02 am
KB Home will host an open house event at its Glengarry community from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday in Anthem Highlands, a master-planned community located in Henderson. The event will feature a tour of energy-efficient home designs. A complimentary lunch will be served 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Glengarry is within walking distance of a variety of shops and restaurants. Residents also may enjoy access to a community park.
The two-story homes available at Glengarry are priced from the $160,000s.
Home shoppers have their choice of three floor plans with as many as five bedrooms, 2½ baths and two-car garages. All homes include brick-paved driveways, two-car garages and flexible options. Select plans can be built with balconies or covered patios to enhance outdoor living space. One plan also offers the option of a first-floor master bedroom suite.
All Glengarry homes are designed to help homeowners save money on monthly expenses by earning the Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star, as well as NV Energy's Energy Plus certification.
Features such as programmable thermostats, radiant-barrier roof lining, low-emissivity windows and efficient heating and cooling systems all help keep household utility bills low. To better illustrate the advantages of such a home, KB Home now includes its Energy Performance Guide in all of its new homes. Similar to an mpg sticker on cars, the EPG provides KB homebuyers with estimated monthly electric and gas costs for their new home as designed.
The Glengarry sales center is located at 2833 Culloden Ave. in Henderson. From the Las Vegas Beltway south, exit Eastern Avenue heading south, pass Sunridge Heights Parkway, turn right on Sun City Anthem Parkway, right on Bicentennial Parkway, and then left on Anthem Highlands. Drive to the sales center ahead on the right. For more information, call 888-KB-HOMES or visit kbhome.com.
