Lennar launches new homebuyer program today

This weekend, Lennar is offering buyers the ability to choose their own incentive.

According to Jeremy Parness, Lennar Las Vegas division president, homebuyers can choose from zero closing costs, low interest rates through its preferred lender, Universal American Mortgage Co., or as much as $15,000 in additional incentives on a new home.

Through its lender, the company is launching its First-Time Homebuyer loan program where Lennar will buy down the interest rate to 2.75 percent for the first year, 3.75 percent for the second year and 4.75 percent fixed for the life of loan (5.516 percent APR).

"There is no guarantee that these deals will last," Parness said. "More and more people are realizing how great this combination of offers is and are taking full advantage. They realize it's a 'now or never' type of situation -- funds for this program are extremely limited, so buyers must act fast."

In addition, Lennar's Everything's Included program offers homebuyers upgrades and features that are included in the purchase price.

"After extensive research and independent consumer surveys, we learned our homebuyers don't like being burdened with a tedious and costly options selection process," Parness said. "At Lennar we provide consumers with the easiest and most affordable way to purchase a new home. We decided to take our most popular upgrade selections and brand name features and simply include them as standard items at no additional cost. We call this program Everything's Included."

Everything's Included homes feature gourmet kitchens, GE appliances, granite slab kitchen countertops and energy-efficient technology, providing homebuyers a lifetime of value by significantly reducing electricity costs, preserving the environment and creating energy independence, according to Parness.

In addition, Lennar offers products, such as radiant barrier; low-energy, vinyl windows; improved insulation, dual-flush toilets and Energy Star-certified appliances.

In addition, the new Lennar Home Automation System allows homeowners the opportunity to lock and unlock doors, turn on lights and adjust the thermostat with their smart phone. This feature is also included in the price of the home.

"This program demonstrates our commitment to quality, value and integrity and our mission to making the homebuying experience as effortless as possible," Parness said.

Lennar offers 14 locations throughout the area. Homes measure from 1,234 to 4,933 square feet, offer as many as six bedrooms and many come with three-car garages. Prices begin from the $100,000s.
