Lennar’s Westminster homes fit large families

Lennar's Westminster is part of the Providence master-planned community, and offers five floor plans named after Southern California locales.

The Brentwood is a single-story home with over 3,100 square feet. The San Clemente, Palisades, Thousand Oaks and Coronado are two-story homes ranging from 4,110 to 4,498 square feet.

John and Marilou Loisel shopped around the Las Vegas Valley for a long time before deciding on a Brentwood home.

"We've been looking and looking for years, but the price is right, it's a new development, and they're going to build a Mall of America close by. So this is a great location," Marilou Loisel said.

With two children, the family needed a house with plenty of space.

"We like that when you walk in the home it's very open. There are four bedrooms, so we have a spare guest room too," she said.

The Brentwood also features a three-car garage, 2 1/2 baths and a large walk-in closet in the master suite.

Every home at Westminster offers porches and patios.

The two-story homes all have four to five bedrooms, three to four baths, three-car garages, lofts and a variety of other unique rooms and features, like Captain's Quarters on the second floor of the San Clemente. The homes are Energy Star-certified and all come standard with appliances.

The couple said their new home is about 50 percent larger than their old residence.

Westminster homes are priced from the low $600,000s.

To visit the Westminster community, exit Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, at Hualapai, go north on Hualapai Way to Elkhorn Road, left on Elkhorn to Egan Crest Drive, then right on Egan Crest and proceed to Westminster on the right.
