Man buys wife new Elantra from Planet Hyundai Sahara
Daniel Keaveney is no stranger to Hyundai, as evidenced by his recent purchase of a third vehicle from Planet Hyundai at 7150 W. Sahara Ave.
Keaveney, a 31-year-old bartender, bought a 2012 Hyundai Elantra for his wife, Maria. A big believer in the Hyundai brand, he previously purchased a 2002 Elantra and a two-door Tiburon coupe in 2005.
"I love the safety of Hyundai in general," said Keaveney. "The 100,000-mile, five-year warranty has kept me coming back here as opposed to shopping anywhere else.
"The Hyundai has more stopping power because of the fact that it has four disc brakes. It has anti-lock brakes and also has eight air bags, so I feel comfortable putting my family in it. Then, the gas mileage is 40 mpg on the highway. That's better gas mileage than some hybrids on the road now."
Keaveney said that while the new Elantra will be used by his wife for driving around town, it also has multifaceted traits that can be used on the highway.
"I have read that they have taken special care with regards to highway vibration," Keaveney explained. "Hyundai has done everything possible to produce a great car for an affordable price. The car is good for the environment, too, in that there are almost zero emissions.
"The Hyundai has come light years since 2003. The company turned the car around and changed it completely. In fact, I don't think there's a better car on the market now for the money. If I had $30,000 to spend, I'd still come to Planet Hyundai. I love Hyundai cars, and I'm going to eventually get my own Sonata sometime down the road."
Maria Keaveney said the new car has everything for the family.
"It is a great car with equally great value," she said while holding the couple's 9-month-old daughter, Karlie.
The Keaveneys also liked the way they were treated by the staff at Planet Hyundai.
"We have always been treated well here," Daniel Keaveney said. "Their service department has always been good to work with, and I feel like they have the total package. I wouldn't go anywhere else."
Sales consultant Jerimy Wickson said he's happy to be selling Hyundais.
"The market shifted in the past year," explained Wickson. "It's so nice to sell a Hyundai to a young family, while also getting them into a stylish car at an affordable price."
