Meritage to open new homes

Meritage Homes plans to unveil new model homes in Northern Terrace today during a 10 a.m. special sales event.

Home buyers can take advantage of special pricing and builder incentives, such as receiving free window coverings with each home purchase through the end of February, according to Barry Grant, president of the builder's Las Vegas division.

"Meritage Homes is excited to introduce our 10 new 2009 home designs which were carefully designed to include the features that buyers really want in their homes," Grant said. "Today's new-home buyers are seeking affordable homes with smart, efficient use of space. ..."

The designs will be featured in four neighborhoods at Northern Terrace -- Brookline, Concord, Salem and Andover.

This morning, the doors will open to four new model homes in Brookline and Concord.

"We basically redesigned four existing floor plans at our Brookline and Concord neighborhoods and built four new models that meet the wants and desires of today's buyers. The new models have very open designs and offer well-thought out, efficient living spaces," Grant said.

Priced from the $170,000s, Concord offers homes measuring from 1,457 to 1,911 square feet and offering up to four bedrooms.

Brookline features designs that range from 2,480 to 2,865 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and prices starting from the $240,000s.

Salem showcases three models that range from 1,798 to 2,010 square feet with up to four bedrooms and priced from the $210,000s.

The gated Andover neighborhood comprises single-story homes measuring from 1,780 to 2,124 square feet and priced from the $220,000s.

Northern Terrace is located within the Providence master-planned community in the northwestern valley. Plans for the Providence community include parks, schools, and retail development.

To visit, take the northern Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, to Hualapai Way and head north. Travel west on Farm Road and then turn right on Crescent Mountain, following the signs. The sales center is located next to the Northern Terrace Club facility.
