More details on Ensign town hall meetings

A spokeswoman for Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., says the details on planned town hall forums are falling into place, with one event in Reno on Jan. 11 and another Jan. 13 in Las Vegas.

Ensign had stated earlier the Las Vegas event would be Jan. 8, but it is now scheduled five days later.

Spokeswoman Rebecca Fisher said the Las Vegas event will be at the Summerlin library, but the time hasn't yet been set.

The events will be to discuss health reform legislation moving through Congress. The effort to get the legislation passed is being led by Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Ensign opposes the reform bill and has said Republicans will work to prevent it from becoming law.
