MORNING LINE: A great day to play Santa

You have until 10 a.m. to get to Fremont Street and join the Great Las Vegas Santa Run to benefit Opportunity Village.

This year, due to the downturn in the economy some major sponsors have dropped out. The biggest, MGM Mirage, donated 3,000 entries for its employees last year.

The good news, Opportunity Village leader Linda Smith tells me, is that many of those same employees have taken it upon themselves to return this year. Now that’s dedication to a good cause.

And if you can't make it, you can still help the charity that provides jobs and services for adult mentally challenged people by attending the annual Magical Forest. It's better than ever.
