MORNING LINE: Krolicki starts whining
November 25, 2008 - 12:02 pm
Embattled Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki received an indictment target letter from the state attorney general’s office Monday, notifying him he's about to be prosecuted for mishandling the state’s college tuition savings fund.
Instead of simply protesting his innocence, Krolicki has already painted a grand conspiracy that leads to the doorstep of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. This not only figures to make Reid more popular with voters who don't take kindly to public corruption, but it makes Krolicki look like a crybaby and politicl Little Leaguer. (Unless he has proof, of course.) Reid’s spokesman has already issued an emphatic denial. Krolicki already has hired at least two attorneys.
