Mountain’s Edge to host public homebuyer information fair today
July 23, 2010 - 11:00 pm
Mountain's Edge will host a homebuyer information fair to provide interested buyers with information about the process of securing financing for the purchase of a new home. The event will be held today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the master-planned community's Home Search Café, located on Buffalo Drive and Blue Diamond Road.
"Whether it's qualifying for a loan or budgeting properly, the process of buying a new home in today's market is one that often leaves people confused and in search of some clarity," said Deonna Stocker, manager of the Home Search Café at Mountain's Edge. "With the homebuyer information fair, we've put together a group of experts who can help buyers find answers to questions regarding budgeting, credit, mortgages and the benefits of buying a new home."
The event is free and will offer attendees the opportunity to learn the facts on the latest loan types, as well as interest rates and guidelines. The homebuyer information fair also will feature specialists to assist first-time homebuyers.
Light snacks and refreshments will be available to those in attendance.
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with several experts and professionals in the home buying and financial fields, including Bill Sherwin, co-founder of eCredit Advisors. Sherwin will present information to participants about how to fix credit errors, and the implications that credit has on a buyer's ability to secure a loan.
For those interested in learning about the options available for financing new homes, Pierre Lapres, senior vice president of Cornerstone Mortgage and Michael Sweeney, regional manager of Platinum Mortgage, will present information on various types of loans, as well as the process involved in securing those loans.
Homebuyers interested in learning the key differences between buying new homes and buying short sales, foreclosures and other existing homes will benefit from the expertise of Ron Rulof from Team Power Marketing. Rulof will provide participants with information about the benefits of buying a new home and the hidden costs that can be associated with buying an existing home.
The homebuyer information fair also will feature experts from the Wealth Consulting Group, who will present information about basic budgeting and financial safety nets. Their expertise will benefit homebuyers interested in learning about setting sound short and long-term financial goals and creating plans to achieve those goals.
In addition to their presentations, all of the experts will be in attendance throughout the day to speak with those interested in asking specific questions related to their personal situations.
"Many of these experts have attended previous information fairs hosted by Mountain's Edge that were dedicated to educating homebuyers about the process of purchasing a new home. They've always been well received, and their insights are appreciated by interested homebuyers looking for information in today's confusing housing market," Stocker said.
"No matter what type of question you may have about buying a home, we invite everyone to come out to our Homebuyer Information Fair to get answers to their questions."
Stocker also noted that representatives from builders involved in the master-planned community also would be on hand to answer any questions buyers might have about homes currently available for purchase, as well as homes that buyers can have built to their custom specifications. Builders also will provide information about special deals available during Mountain's Edge's summer sales event to interested homebuyers.
Builders within the master plan include: Amstar Homes, Beazer Homes, Camden Homes, Discovery Homes, Harmony Homes, KB Home, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pardee Homes, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, Ryland Homes, and StoryBook Homes.
