MUSIC: Mariah Carey announces a run of small hall shows in Vegas

  Hot on the high heels of Beyoncé’s four-night stand at Encore, which kicks off tonight, pop superstar Mariah Carey has just announced a quartet of small hall shows in Vegas as well.
   Debuting material from her forthcoming album, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” which is due out on Sept. 14, Cary will perform at The Pearl at the Palms on Sept. 11 and Sept. 12 before returning for another pair of concerts on Oct. 9 and 10.
   The shows will mark the rare chance to see Carey, who normally packs arenas, in a more intimate setting.
   Tickets are $129, $179 and $254 and go on sale at noon Saturday, Aug. 8. at The Pearl box office and Ticketmaster outlets.
