My Southwest friends
March 12, 2010 - 8:51 pm
Returning to Las Vegas from a biz trip, I found myself on a Southwest flight this week with Gen. Wesley Clark, the former presidential candidate.
There he was in the middle seat of a 3-hour Southwest Airlines flight, just like the rest of us.
America is, indeed, a great country. Unlike, say, countries like Cuba where former military leaders become rulers for life.
Not sure why my liberal friends long for the gunpoint "equality" of re-distribution societies. But history teaches -- or at least it should -- that it is usually the idealistic left that is quick to enslave and deny others basic human freedoms.
Something to think about this weekend.
