Nevada is more bro-friendly than most of the country
Being a “bro” in Clark County means pretty much the same as it does around the rest of the country, but Nevada’s got a lot more of them than most states.
The term doesn’t always refer to a member of a fraternity — the label can apply to any gender, and it doesn’t matter if they went Greek in college. Being labeled a “bro” is like being called a “hipster,” it just depends on your interests and how you carry yourself.
According to Find The Best, an area’s “bro index” is categorized by the number of gyms, fitness centers, bars, casinos, liquor stores and adult entertainment establishments per capita, as well as the proportion of people aged 20-34.
In Nevada, Esmeralda County is the most bro-friendly, with a Bro Index score of 80.3. Humboldt County has the second most bromance, with a score of 80.1.
University of Nevada-Reno’s Washoe County also has a pretty high bro index. Which honestly makes more sense than some other counties.
Northern Nevada is filled with a lot more bro stuff than Southern Nevada, but overall in the state, the bro index is pretty high.
Colorado and Wyoming are also in the top bro states. The South overall lacks much of anything attributing to the bro lifestyle, but if you want to escape them in Nevada, try Catron County, New Mexico, where the bro index is 10.6.
