NPR insults taxpayers

You gotta wonder about the judgment of the folks at National Public Radio (which I enjoy listening to most of the time, BTW) when they put up a video like this on their site. You can say what you will about the Tea Party movement, but to call them off-color names seems inappropriate. To insult a good number of taxpayers who pay the taxes which support NPR, this just seems wrong.

Take a look at the video on the NPR site and you tell me -- is this becoming of NPR?

Many people think not, including this blog.

(While I have your attention on NPR matters, I can't believe the local station in Las Vegas has parted ways with Dave Berns. Dave and I probably don't agree on a whole heck of a lot politically, but we do agree on the need for in-depth reporting. He gave that to NPR. His absence makes the community poorer. I'd be happy to talk to the powers that be at the local NPR station if they'd like. Maybe even buy them a cup of tea.)
