Obama saw Egypt coming

Team Obama cheerleader Dennis Ross, a staff member on the National Security Council, would have us believe that all-seeing, all-knowing President Barack Obama clearly foresaw the downfall of Egypt's government. (I'm not kidding you. If you read this LA Times story carefully, that's what he says.)

Unfortunately, Obama's supernatural powers did not extend to precise timing. Things moved faster than even "The One" anticipated.

To conclusively prove that the president saw it coming, Ross points to a directive the president signed in August giving the government authorization to study the political systems in the Middle East and North Africa. That prompted a series of weekly meetings.

You simply cannot make this stuff up. The national media ought to be all over this weird assertion. Especially in light of last week's news, that President Obama "is challenging his administration to formulate a new Middle East policy that emphasizes political and economic reforms to bolster U.S. allies now threatened by the protest movements sweeping the region."

Lemme get this straight. Obama foresaw the unrest in the Middle East and all he did was set in motion a freakin' "study" followed by "weekly meetings?" What a man of action. Surprisingly, when studies and weekly meetings didn't work, he's now asked his administration to come up with a new Middle East policy. What's that new policy gonna be -- double-secret studies followed by bi-weekly meetings?

Yeah, these guys saw it coming all right. Saying the Obama Administration was caught flat-footed on the unrest in the Middle East doesn't begin to describe the ineptness of this administration, both in fact and in cover-up.
