Octopus attempts aquarium breakout — VIDEO

The Kraken has been unleashed. Well, almost.

In the 41-second video below, shot recently at the Seattle Aquarium, an octopus named “Ink” appears ready to leave.

Ink is seen near the top of his large tank at the start of the video. Then, he’s able to stick a tentacle out, causing screams and squeals from the aquarium visitors.

Instilled with confidence, the brave octopus pushes forward and is able to wiggle a few more tentacles out of the tank.

Unfortunately for the would-be jail-breaker, he only has a brief taste of freedom before being stuffed back into the tank.

Defeated - and probably exhausted - the octopus simply hangs onto the wall of its tank.

Good try, buddy. Good try.
